Haad Khuad, better known as ‘Bottle Beach’, is a quiet, secluded beach in the far north of Koh Phangan. Surrounded by jungle and challenging to access — prepare to arrive either by longtail boat or after a long walk — Bottle Beach is a great choice for day trips or relaxing holidays.

The quickest way to get to Haad Khuad is by longtail boat, which leaves from Ao Chaloklum on a frequent schedule during high season. It’s also possible to walk from Haad Khom or reach the beach by motorcycle on a rather bumpy and hazardous road from Thong Nai Pan.
With just a select few small resorts, no nearby traffic and none of the infamous nightlife that the island is best known for, Haad Khuad is undoubtedly one of Koh Phangan’s most peaceful and appealing beaches.
The beach itself is a picturesque stretch of white sand, with a longtail boat or two usually parked in the shallow water. Bottle Beach is one of Koh Phangan’s most popular snorkelling spots, and the rocks around the edges of the beach are good places to search for colorful tropical fish.
Accommodation on Bottle Beach is limited to a selection of small bungalow resorts offering fan and air conditioned units. Dining and nightlife on the beach is limited to the resorts, with a few beachside bars offering inexpensive drinks, tasty food and an undeniably great atmosphere.
