Between Relax Bay and Klong Khong is a small beach named Secret Beach. One of the best beaches on Koh Lanta and currently completely undeveloped except for one beach bar!
In previous years, Secret Beach was well hidden in private grounds with a rusty small gate at the front near the road side. Many people would simply pass by the entry point and only the ones in the know would get to see it.
Today, Secret Beach is a bit easier to find. It is still called Secret Beach to many and if you go there you still will only find a handful of people. At the beginning of 2017 the beach is undeveloped but there is some kind of activity happening at the beach. All the front area has been stripped of most of the trees and new coconut trees have been planted.
This allows a great view from the roadside to the sea never been seen before. There is also a new dirt track road been planted heading to the beach. Maybe the future is a private hotel complex along the beach front – it’s certainly got all the markings of a new development.
If you go to Secret Beach today there is no development to date – only 1 small wooden shack beach bar. The Thai family are very nice people offering all drinks from water, coke and beers. Great to enjoy while watching the famous Koh Lanta sunset.
How To Get To Secret Beach
The quickest way to get to Secret Beach is by Express Transfer, which combines a minivan and speedboat to get you door to door from Krabi Airport to your Koh Lanta hotel. You can also get a Private Minivan Transfer which is perfect for families and groups of friends.
