Villa Issara In More Detail
Villa Issara is a 4 bedroom villa built in a very private housing estate. The villas is not overlooked by other villas allowing you privacy and unobstructed sea views. The villa is built to very high quality standards which you will notice when you arrive. Unlike some other villas, Villa Issara also enjoy air conditioning in every room.
When entering the villa to the right three of the four bedrooms are set on a lower level. Each one has a private bathroom and shower, although one of the rooms is smaller – if you’re travelling with kids this would be an ideal room. In the middle of the room is the beautiful wooden staircase which snakes between levels connecting the lower and upper levels. The lower level also houses the kitchen and dining room with floor to ceiling glass doors allowing you to eat outside on the terrace and let you view the amazing sea views when inside.
When ascending the stairs, two doors allow access to the mezzanine floor which is the master bedroom and ensuite bathroom. The master bedroom is by far one of the largest rooms in the villa which also has its own private terrace. To bedroom’s ensuite bathroom with jacuzzi bath tub, separated shower cubicle and double wash basins is nearly as big as the bedroom itself.
Continuing up the stairs to the upper level, you will find the lounge area. This is surrounded by floor to ceiling windows allowing access to the terrace, a perfect retreat on your own or a great place to watch sunsets with friends.
The villa is a perfect choice for families, couples and groups of friends wanting a little bit of privacy but at the same time to be close to local amenities with in walking distance.
Master bedroom And Ensuite Bathroom
The master bedroom is very spacious, clean and well thought out – simple yet elegant decor. Besides the double 6ft bed and bedroom cabinets there is a nice sofa. The bedroom also has its own private terrace area to escape and find tranquility. The master bedroom is one of the largest rooms in the villa and the generously sized ensuite bathroom complements its grandness.
The ensuite bathroom is nearly as big as the bedroom and is fully equipped for royalty. Finished in clean stunning red tiling it enjoys a large jacuzzi bath tub, separated shower cubicle with a power shower, double wash basins with a large vanity mirror over them and electric sockets for hairdryers or shavers and a well hidden toilet. the bathroom is located at the back of the villa so when sitting in the jacuzzi bathtub you can enjoy tropical garden views.
All along one wall at the back of the bathroom are fitted wardrobes. This also allows plenty of space to hide your unwanted luggage. The bathroom can be accessed by the bedroom or from the staircase, remember sharing with your friend will enhance their experience also.

Lounge Area And Upper Level Terrace
Going up several more steps will allow you access to the upper level where you can relax in the lounge area with a comfortable sofa which can seat 8 guests. On one wall is a flat screen TV, DVD player and a complete DVD library left by the owners.
The lounge area is surrounded with floor to ceiling windows which when open concertina back allowing complete access to the terrace area. When leaving the doors open a nice breeze will also fill the lounge due to the villa been built on the hill, or if you feel it’s a hot day you can simply use the air con.
The upper level terrace area which is accessed from the lounge area is a perfect retreat, either on your own to read a book or a great place to watch the sunsets with friends having a drink.
Kitchen And Dining Area
The kitchen and dining area are located on the ground floor. This allows you to prepare food but also be able to dine inside or outside by the pool on the terrace. The kitchen enjoys being fully fitted with western appliances,oven, hob, fridge freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle & coffee maker, plus water cooler. There are lots of worktop space for food preparation and and Island which converts into a breakfast bar allowing friends to be together and chat whilst cooking.

Double Bedrooms On The Lower Level
The lower level double bed bedrooms are both fitted with air con and 6ft beds. They are both the same size and only the furniture of drawer and wardrobes are a little different. The front bedroom enjoys sea views and the back bedroom garden views.
Double Bedrooms And Bathrooms
Both the bedrooms have bathrooms – although they are private bathrooms, you have to exit the bedrooms into the main foyer area to the enter the bathrooms. There is no direct door making them private and ensuite.
Both the bathrooms from the double bed bedrooms are the same – they have the same decor and set up with wash basin, western toilet and a separated shower. Next to the wash basin are plug sockets allowing you to plug in your shavers or hair dryers.
The smallest bedroom at the back enjoy garden views. It is aircon and enjoys a smaller 5ft bed – the room is perfect for children. It also enjoys a smaller ensuite bathroom with shower, toilet and wash basin. Juts before entering the room there is a small utility room with washing machine.

Wooden Staircase
The wooden staircase is a fine example of how well the house has been built and furnished. Its a strong staircase and a center piece of the house ascending from the lower level to the upper level.
Outside Pool And Relaxation Areas
Villa Issara Swimming Pool is a nice size to enjoy with friends and family especially from the pool you have amazing garden and sea views. There are sun loungers by the pool which do have covers. There is also an outside shower next to the pool to rinse of.
Besides the pool there is a terrace area outside the villa which is under a roof. This area is perfect for cooling off in the day and staying out of the sun. It also helps with the roof when it rains you can still eat outside El fresco style.

Where Is Klong Klong Beach On Koh Lanta?
As Klong Khong Beach is smaller than neighbouring Klong Nin, it is not that developed with a handful of hotels and restaurants. (See our Best Klong Khong Restaurants guide for more info). If you need more variety, a quick tuk tuk ride to Klong Nin provides lots more options on Klong Nin Beach itself, and there are also many places to eat along on the main road too. It’s also a short taxi or motorbike ride from Klong Khong over to Lanta Old Town, just over the other side of Koh Lanta, which has some beautiful old Thai wooden houses and several seaside restaurants and bars to enjoy.
How To Get To Villa Issara
If you are arriving at Krabi airport or Phuket Airport booking an Express Transfer will allow you to transfer quickly, safely and direct. Our driver will be waiting for you upon arrival at the arrivals gate with your name on a plaque then its a combination of minivan and speedboat travel direct to the villa. If you arrive very late at night the speedboat may not be operating, how ever you can normally still arrive on Koh Lanta the same day by using the Private Minivan service.
If you are already in Thailand you can also be picked up from your Hotel, with a time that suits you best and safely transferred directly to the Villa by using the Express transfers from popular areas like Ao Nang, Krabi Town, or Phuket these areas are also serviced by using the Private minivan.

Who Will We Meet Upon Arrival And What Happens On Departure
The Villa Issara manager will meet you upon arrival, give you the keys and show you around the villa. The manager will offer their expert first hand knowledge of Koh Lanta and also be happy to help and advise you with any problems you encounter. They will also help you organise motorbike and car rentals on the island. Then on the day of departure the on-site manager will come to inspect the villa for any damage and return your deposit before wishing you Bon Voyage.

What’s Nearby To Villa Issara?
Villa Issara is well positioned, centrally in Khlong Khong area sitting back 300 meters from the main road. The Villa is elevated from the road with accesses by a private concrete road. The incline is not steep to start but there is a 50 meter section which is quite steep then after this it is very easy walking again. Walking to the beach is not a problem because it’s downhill and when you get to the road you pass though the resort another 50 meters and the beach is in front of you.

Villa Issara is located near Klong Khong Beach which is a very friendly, relaxed beach area and takes no more than 10 minutes to walk to. Along the beach you will find many established beach bars and restaurants. Along the road side it is not as developed as other areas with only a handful of Thai restaurants, convenience stores and coffee shops.
Places To Eat And Drink Near To Villa Issara
Turn right along the main road side and a great Thai restaurant sits at the bottom of the villa complex called the Three Sisters and next to this Mum kitchen offering noodle soup. Sala Klong Kong restaurant enjoys a pool table and next is the Ting Tong bar. Travel a little further to the seafood restaurant called Lod Yao – here the food is excellent highly recommended is Goong Tod Kratiam Prik Thai (Shrimp fried with garlic and pepper) Lard Nar Talay (large noodles in gravy with seafood). On the opposite side of the road there is Peak Cafe serving nice coffee.
Turning left Neng Restaurant and Bula Restaurant which is opposite a 7-Eleven 24 hour convenience store.There are also fresh fruit and vegetable stores located here.
On the Klong Khong Beach all the resorts have their own restaurants. The Riviera resort has a very tropical feel to it with the restaurant on the beach. Also head to Fishermans Cottage which is situated behind the 7-Eleven, here the food is always amazing and presented nicely. For drinks the best places to hang out are the Sound Shack, Feeling Bar, Chocolate Bar and Fishermans Cottage, however there are many more beach bars to choose from, you only have to walk along the beach. How To Travel Around Koh Lanta From Villa Issara
You will find many enjoyable things close to the villa with in easy walking distance. However Koh Lanta is quite a big island, around 35 km long, so for a stay of more than a couple of days renting a car, motorbike or tuk tuk would be advised. You can hire them on daily or weekly basis and the villa manager will be happy to help and organise these rentals for you when you arrive on Koh Lanta.
If you are not comfortable with a bike or car then you can easily travel back and forth on Koh Lanta by using the local tuk tuk drivers. However even after negotiating a good price this option does start to become expensive as each ride is charged per person. To find a tuk tuk driver just wait next to the road and wave one down. When you are in Saladan Village, the main Koh Lanta shopping area, there are many tuk-tuks waiting on the main road, near to the 7-11. Things To Do On Koh Lanta
Whether you are travelling with friends, a romantic couple or a family with small children Koh Lanta offers many activities for you to enjoy. Take a day Kayaking, ride on an Elephant, enjoy time at the monkey school or squirm at the snake show. Go Deep Sea fishing in the day for Marlin and Barracuda or at night you can fish for squid. A Golf driving range is at hand to keep your swing in or try something new like Yoga, paddle boarding or windsurfing if the winds are right.
If you really want to get in to the culture you can enjoy an evening watching Muay Thai in one of three Koh Lanta stadiums or get your tongue around the language with a Thai for beginners class.
