Important: Villa Guest Policy
This villa is for a maximum of 4 adult guests with a minimum age of 20 years old. Guest with a baby under the age of 2 are allowed to stay. No guests between the ages of 2 and 20 years old, no smoking and no pets.

Hidden Cottage Villa villas are two villas build in private grounds with a shared pool and garden area in the middle of the grounds. The villas are one storey and all rooms are built on the ground level.
Both villas enjoy air con in every room and they are set out the same with decor and furnishings. From the outside you enter into the open plan lounge area, dining and kitchen. Two double bedrooms are located at the back of the villa and in between them is a door to the shared bathroom.
Outside the villa you can relax in your own shaded terrace area which includes seating and an option for outside dining. Plastic chairs are also available which can be used near the pool. The pool in the middle does offer umbrellas to protect from the sun. The pool is shared by both villas so its not completely private and there would be interaction with other guests. Their is also an outdoor shower next to the pool. The garden area is surrounded by flowers, trees and high walls.

Open Plan
When entering the villa you will walk in to the open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area. The open plan area creates a larger living space. The villa is nicely decorated through out and includes everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Lounge Area
There is two ways in and out for the villas with the floor to ceiling glass sliding doors. These offer plenty of light and make the room feel large and spacious. Leaving the doors open will allow in the breeze and if it gets to hot then the room has an an air con unit installed. The lounge area enjoys a has a comfortable sofa and soft lighting to relax on. Sitting on another wall mounted is a TV.
Security and safety
For added security every window has an additional locking system which can not be opened from the outside. In case of power cuts on the island which sometimes happens the owners have installed a battery operated lighting system which can be moved between rooms and comes on instantly. Smoke detectors and fire extinguishers are also installed.
Kitchen and dining area
The open plan kitchen and dining room sit at the back of the villa. Whilst preparing food or snacks their is a large window which illuminates the area. The kitchen has all mod cons for a comfortable stay which include kettle, toaster, grounded coffee maker, fridge freezer, 2 induction cooking plates, microwave oven, kitchen table with plenty of glass ware.

Open Plan Area
The dining table and chairs seats 4 persons sitting in the middle of the kitchen area combined space. There is also a spiral staircase which creates a homely feel. The stair case goes to a small loft area, perfect place for storing all your luggage.
Hidden Cottage Bedrooms
All bedrooms are located on the ground floor at the back of the villa. Both bedrooms are set up the same with the bathroom in between: the only difference is that one bedroom has access to the outside with glass sliding doors leading into the garden. The bedroom has air con, double beds, soft lighting and drawers next to the beds with large wooden wardrobe.
Bedroom Two
Bedroom two also has air con, double beds, soft lighting and drawers next to the beds with large wooden wardrobe. This bedroom has a large window along one wall with no outside access.

Shared Bathroom
The shared bathroom is conveniently located between both bedrooms. The bathroom has hot water rain shower with a tiled wall separating it from the toilet. This allows you to shower and keep the area dry. Along the other wall is a wash basin and over head mirror.
Hidden Cottage Villa Pool
Outside sits the shared swimming pool in the middle of the garden. It is share with one other villa so there will be interaction with other guests around the pool and garden area.
Where Is Long Beach Located?
As Long Beach is so near to Saladan and the point of arrival and exit from the island, it’s also one of Koh Lanta’s most popular beaches.
As well as the restaurants and resorts on Long Beach itself, there are also many places to eat and stay behind Long beach on the main road, giving you even more options within walking distance. It’s a 10 to 15 minute tuk-tuk ride from Long Beach to Saladan village, where there are several great restaurants built over the water, as well as massage shops, a modest supermarket, some holiday shopping outlets and stalls, opticians and various Thai banks.

How to get to the Hidden Cottage Villa
If you are arriving at Krabi Airport or Phuket Airport booking an Express Transfer will allow you to transfer quickly, safely and direct. Our driver will be waiting for you upon arrival at the arrivals gate with your name on a plaque then its a combination of minivan and speedboat travel direct to the villa. If you arrive very late at night the speedboat may not be operating, how ever you can normally still arrive on Koh Lanta the same day by using the Private Minivan service.
If you are already in Thailand you can also be picked up from your hotel, with a time that suits you best and safely transferred directly to the Villa by using the Express Transfers from popular areas like Ao Nang, Krabi Town, or Phuket these areas are also serviced by using the Private minivan.

Who Will We Meet Upon Arrival And What Happens On Departure
Hidden Cottage Villa is owned and managed by Serge and Pat who will meet you upon arrival, give you the keys and show you around the villa. They have both lived on Koh Lanta for years and will be happy to offer their expert first hand knowledge and also be happy to help and advise you with any problems you encounter whilst you stay.
Serge and Pat can also help you organise motorbike and car rentals on the island. Then on the day of departure they will come to inspect the villa for any damage and refund your deposit and also to say goodbye. Don’t forget to book an Express Transfer for your return to Krabi Airport or to any other close Thailand destination.
What Is Nearby To This Villa
Hidden Cottage Villa is well positioned in Long Beach’s main shopping and eating area. Glai Talay Villa is located 80 meters from Long Beach which should take you no more than 5 minutes walk. This part of long beach is more quieter than the north but still enjoys some nice beach restaurants and very chilled out beach bars. How ever the Hidden Cottage Villa really benefits from being so close to many amenities which are situated along the road side. To go to the main road is only a 70 meter walk very easy for families with strollers.

Food And Drink
On the main road you will be able to enjoy morning coffee in the popular French bakery Faim De Loup with fresh breads and pastries. Turning left the Coffee Club air conditioned cafe. If your looking for simple Thai Food turn left along the road 50 to 200 meters walk you will find restaurants like Sweet and Sour, Papaya Restaurant, Country Loas is an Isan place offering spicy Som Tam (Papaya Salad) and also mouth watering Nuer Nam Tok (Spicy Thai Beef Saldad). Then there is Raan Restaurant with its cozy setting offering some great Thai and Seafood dishes, it is a little bit more expensive but the quality is well worth it. Keep walking to find the Red Snapper offering the best imported steaks, salmon and large Tapas menu.
This area is not short of any bars for a beer or cocktail. Walk left along the road and you can stagger between the Sari Club, Bajen Sports Bar, Pattys Secret Garden and Galaxy Bar offering different party nights in the week. Then a little further you have the only fun club on the Island Funky Monkey, and many more bars next to each other like Shooters, The Irish Embassy which is a great atmosphere and good quality beers and food. There is also the Korner bar offering a party on a Saturday night which is close to the beach.
Two bars which are set in very nice setting along the beach can be found close to the 7 Eleven shop look out for the Sanctuary and the Mad Bull Beach bar at Lanta Castaway Resort which offers great cocktails.

How to travel around the island from the villa
You will find many enjoyable things close to the Villa with in easy walking distance. Koh Lanta itself is around 35 km long so if you want to explore other beaches and Lanta Old Town you can rent a car or motorbike. You can hire them on daily or weekly basis Serge and Pat the villa manager will be happy to help and organise these rentals for you when you arrive on Koh Lanta.
If you are not comfortable with a bike or car then you can easily travel back and forth on the island by using the local Tuk Tuk drivers. These can be a lot of fun and the locals with there friendly manner will entertain you as they go. How ever even after negotiating a good price this option does start to become expensive as each ride is charged per person. To find a taxi driver just wait next to the road and they will stop instantly. When you are in Saladan the main Koh Lanta Shopping area, if you walk out of the centre there are many queuing up to take you home. How ever later at night this service can become sparse and getting home from a party at 3am can become a challenge.
