There are several daily flights from Bangkok to Trang Airport, giving easy access to nearby islands like Koh Mook and Koh Kradan and the rest of Southern Thailand

Trang Airport is currently a very small and simple airport with just the basics – check-in counters, waiting areas and a few small cafes to get a drink and snack. More and more flights are arriving at Trang Airport, however, and plans are underway to expand the airport’s capacity.

Currently only domestic flights land at Trang Airport. Nok Air and Air Asia are the two main airlines which use the airport, and each airline has three flights daily from Bangkok’s Don Meuang Airport to Trang.

Nok Air currently provides a Singapore to Trang service, which is actually two connecting flights via Bangkok.

Trang Airport Transfers

On arrival at Trang Airport, the most popular destinations are Trang City itself and the nearby islands of Koh Mook, Koh Kradan and Koh Ngai.

Trang Airport Ferry and Express Transfers

The ferry transfers are a combination of minivan pick up from the airport to the pier to join the hi speed ferry to your chosen Island. The ferry company only pick up once in the morning which may not be suitable for some guests flying later in the day. The ferry transfers only operate from November till April.

The Express Transfers are the fastest way to get to an island destination. This is a combination of minivan and speedboat and can depart when you arrive – you are met at the airport, driven to the speedboat pier, and then take a speedboat direct to the island – the express transfer also operate all year round.

Trang Airport to Koh Lanta

You can book an
Express Transfer from Trang Airport to Koh Lanta or a Trang Airport to Koh Lanta Minivan Taxi but please note it’s actually much quicker to fly into Krabi Airport and get a Krabi Airport to Koh Lanta Express Transfer instead.

Transfers To Trang Airport

When you’re ready to return to Trang Airport from the islands, the Express Transfer is a great way to have a stress-free ride door-to-door from your island hotel to the airport without needing to worry about connections or timetables. this service also operates everyday all year round. If your flight depart late afternoon the ferry company also provides this service with a drop of at the airport. Please note the ferry operates the service November till January.
