Samran Beach is actually just a so-so beach fringed by an impressive canopy of trees and a handful of restaurants
Samran beach is, in truth, not that exciting – a fairly mediocre strip of sand a couple of kilometres long with nice views out over towards the islands.
However, just back from the beach is an impressive promenade of very tall trees overhanging a road designed for visiting revellers, along with several large salas for groups to gather set amongst the trees and a few restaurants too.
Samran looks like a big place to party at the weekends but during the weekdays it’s dead. It’s easy to get to Samran – just follow the signs to Hat Samran and you arrive at the beach tourist area – you can’t miss it
