The closest beach to Koh Lipe’s Walking Street, Pattaya Beach is where you’ll arrive on the island from Pak Bara or Langkawi. Pattaya Beach has the largest selection of accommodation on Koh Lipe and can become quite crowded during the December to February peak season.
Although the boat traffic makes Pattaya Beach less of a swimming and snorkelling beach than nearby Sunrise Beach, the clear and peaceful water makes Pattaya Beach a good place to relax and enjoy the day.
Some small rock formations towards the end of the beach are suitable for snorkelling. Most of Koh Lipe’s upmarket resorts are located on Pattaya Beach, making it one of the best beaches on the island for luxury travellers.
It takes approximately 15 minutes to walk from Pattaya Beach to Sunrise Beach on the opposite side of Koh Lipe.
