There’s not just one but three Ao Nang Beaches to consider if you’re staying in the area. Ao Nang beach itself is the most popular beach in Krabi Province and it is a busy tourist centre. Continuing directly on from Ao Nang is Noppara Thara Beach, which is much quieter and ends in National Park land. A short taxi ride away lies the beautiful Tubkaek Beach, as featured in the Hangover 2 movie
Ao Nang Beach
Ao Nang beach has beautiful white sand, perfect waters for swimming and wonderful sunset views, all a short walk from the Ao Nang town. Its accessibility and popularity means it’s also busy with plenty of restaurants and bars lining Ao Nang beach too.
Nopparattara Beach
Nopparattara is the quiet alternative to Ao Nang. Although it is just next door it is far more laid back and spread out with a much more rustic feel
Tubkaek Beach (Hangover 2 Beach)
Where the beach sequences of the Hangover 2 movie were filmed, Tubkaek Beach is a stunning beach a few miles drive from Ao Nang proper, with only a handful of upmarket resorts along its pristine sands.
