Sometimes known as “millionaires row” due to amount of expensive beach properties located here, Surin beach is a small but perfectly formed strip of sand which has a unique feel thanks to the neighbouring village which existed before tourists came to stay rather than coming into being simply to serve tourists’ needs.
The upmarket location and the lack of boats anchoring in Surin beach’s waters (unlike most other beaches in Phuket) make this a quiet, peaceful spot that’s perfect if you want to have time to yourself. While Surin Beach might be the playground of the rich, and there is certainly no shortage of five star hotels around Surin Beach, there’s also a wide selection of cheaper hotels at Surin too, so it’s not a creepily exclusive place.
