There are several Railay Beach beaches rather than just one – Railay West beach, Railay East beach and Cave Beach, with Tonsai Bay nearby. Each beach in Railay has its own atmosphere and it’s worth considering where to base yourself
Railay Beach Beaches
Railay Beach West
This is the picture postcard Railay Beach that most people come to see – it is stunning in its beauty and also the most popular part of the Railay Beach area
Railay Beach East
A short stroll from Railay West, Railay East has a nice beach too but not much opportunity for swimming due to mangroves. Railay East is where Railay’s liveliest after dark bars reside
Phra Nang aka The Cave Beach
Railay’s “hidden” beach as it’s a 15 minute walk from Railay Beach West, Phra Nang is well worth the effort with its secluded beauty and white sands.
Tonsai Bay
Technically between Ao Nang and Railay rather than part of Railay Beach itself, Tonsai Bay is world-famous for its amazing rock-climbing opportunities, accessible from beginner to expert alike
Things To Do In Ao Nang, Railay and Krabi Town
There are lots of excursions and activities in Ao Nang itself, but also in nearby places like Railay Beach and Krabi Town.
