How To Get To Koh Lanta

Due to Koh Lanta’s shape and a rugged mountain landscape it does not have its own airport. So if your planning a trip, Krabi Airport (KBV) is the nearest and most convenient.

Krabi airport is serviced daily from Bangkok, Koh Samui, Kula Lumpur, Singapore and a few Interanational flights from Europe. From the airport you can be transferred direct to your Koh Lanta Resort. We offer fast boat transfers to Koh Lanta which take around 1.5 hours and also private taxi transfers which take 2.5 hours depending on the car ferry service.

If there is no suitable flight to Krabi then two alternative airports to consider would be Phuket Airport (HKT) or Trang (TST)

Phuket Airport has many daily flights from Bangkok and Kula Lumpur and also direct from Europe. It is approximately 200 kms away. Traveling to Koh Lanta using the taxi transfer will take around 4.5 hours. An alternative is the fast boat transfer with the time taking 3.5 hours.

Trang Airport is also close but it only has a few domestic flights with Thai Airwyas and Nok Air being the main air carriers. Taxi transfers should take 1.5 hours to Koh Lanta depending on the car ferry service.
