If you depart from Ao Nang to to Railay Beach or Railay Beach to Ao Nang there is a choice of using the daily ferry service which connects Ao Nang and Koh Lanta stopping off at Railay on the way.
You can also arrive in Ao Nang and enjoy a private long tail boat to Railay Beach which departs when you arrive.

There are lots of excursions and activities in Ao Nang itself, but also in nearby places like Railay Beach and Krabi Town.
Please note the above service may only operate in the high season due to less tourists and the winds changing directions creating large waves.
It’s worth making sure you have booked accommodation in advance at both Ao Nang and Railay Beach if you are travelling during the high season – both areas are extremely popular during peak season (mid December to mid January).
Prices also increase substantially during high season so booking in advance can help to lock in reasonably-priced accommodation rather than having to accept your second choice for where you would like to stay.
