Low Season on Koh Lanta has a very chilled and relaxed vibe to it. With less tourism on the island from May to October, some tours and activities are subject to availability and some are also dependent on the weather. However there are still plenty of things to do on Koh Lanta in low season if you just go with the flow.

Also in the low season with less people on the Island you will find this a more personal experience.

Koh Lanta Butterfly Farm
Lanta Butterfly Garden is a landscaped tropical garden showing living butterflies from all over Thailand. The have many photos complimenting the garden which explains the butterfly life cycle from egg through the process to stunning butterfly. Walk To A Waterfall
Lanta is full of virgin rain forests and if you travel to the South of the Island to Klong Jark you can walk through the tropical forests along a stream until you find a hidden gem, the Koh Lanta Waterfall. This is especially good to visit in the low season as the rain makes the fall larger. In the pool you can find small fish and shrimps and whilst walking there is an amazing small cave with bats inside. A guide is recommended but not necessary as the route is pretty easy to follow
Koh Lanta National Park
Koh Lanta is famed for its natural beauty. Furthest South on the Island is a stunning National park, with a lighthouse and two beach areas one with large pebbles and one with very nice sand and breathtaking views of the natural rainforests and other surrounding Islands. This are is also famed for allowing you to see wild monkeys, but note they are hungry and will jump on any bag you carry. I put my drink down for a second and a monkey swooped down for a refreshing Pepsi, when it finished the drink it simply tossed the plastic bottle down from the tree much to our amazement.
