For foreigners, this boat is most often used during low season (May to October) as a way to get to Koh Jum. During high season (November to April), there is a Krabi to Koh Lanta ferry that stops just off Koh Jum so that travellers to Koh Jum can jump on longtail boats sent out by the Koh Jum resorts to take them back to the island.
Be Advised: The Ferry Timetable Can Change Without Warning
Please note all timetables can change in Thailand without any prior notice, due to lack of passengers, delays in goods arriving etc. If you are planning to get to Koh Jum by flying into Krabi Airport and then heading to Leam Kruat pier, the earlier you can arrive in the day the better, just in case the ferry times change.
