Getting from Bali to Koh Lanta is easy thanks to the direct flights from Bali to Phuket offered by budget airline Air Asia. Flights take around 3 hours. (See 12Go for current prices, timings and to see if there are any cheaper options with other airlines available).
Once you arrive at Phuket Airport, you can catch the ferry to Koh Lanta, or if you have a lot of luggage or several members in your traveling group, you can get a private speedboat from Phuket to Koh Lanta or the minivan from Phuket to Koh Lanta.
Of course, it’s just as simple to do it the other way around and head from Koh Lanta to Bali – a great way to continue your travels in Asia and move from one island paradise to another. Bali scuba diving is spectacular and very under-rated, and there’s also some excellent beaches, a thriving surfing and nightlife scene, and the unique culture of the Balinese which continues to flourish. There are plenty of amazing temples, jungles and volcanos to explore, as well as a lot of excellent restaurants!
