Bamboo Bay
Bamboo Bay is the furthest beach away from Saladan around a 40 minute taxi ride away. Bamboo Bay has crystal clear waters and a fine white sandy beach and a very relaxed pace to the life. It only has a hand full of simple resorts scattered along the bay and is surrounded by mountains covered with rain forests. Due to its location you will find a quite unspoilt paradise.

Due to its location, development hasn’t arrived as quickly to Bamboo Bay as many other beach areas. Which is great in some ways for people who want to get away from it all.
Unfortunately though the lack of development also means the road is not complete. Please be careful if you are hiring a motorbike and travelling around Koh Lanta as after you leave Kantiang Bay heading south you will experience unfinished road in many areas which can be dangerous for inexperienced bike riders.
This sadly also means a lot of the tours and scuba diving trips will not pick up in this area. If you would like to consider a similar beach which is near check out Kantiang Bayor Khlong Nin.
