Krabi Airport is the nearest airport to Koh Lanta. Nok Air, Air Asia, Bangkok Airways and Thai Airways all provide daily flights from Bangkok to Krabi Airport. We recommend Nok Air because they allow the extra weight for scuba diving gear for free! You need to show your certification card at check-in.

1) Krabi Airport To Koh Lanta
a) Private Minivan Transfer To Koh Lanta
The easiest way to get to Koh Lanta is to fly to Krabi Airport and then take a private minivan from Krabi Airport to Ban Saladan (Saladan Village) on Koh Lanta.

The journey time from Krabi Airport to Ban Saladan is between 1.5 to 2.5 hours. The time varies as there are car ferry crossings between the mainland and the islands. We recommend you bring water and snacks for the journey.
b) Public Minivan Taxi to Koh Lanta
The cheaper option is to get a minivan taxi at Krabi airport, which seats up to 10 people and departs from the airport when the taxi is full. Backpacks or suitcases are stored on top of the van and conditions can be a little cramped.
Minivan taxi cost: 250 Baht per person.
To catch a minican taxi, we strongly recommend you get an early flight from Bangkok to Krabi as the last departure for minivan taxis from Krabi Airport is around 1pm.

2) Fast Boat Transfer to Koh Lanta from Krabi
If you want to arrive in style, you can get a fast boat transfer that involves a half hour car journey and then a scenic hour long speedboat ride along Lanta’s beautiful coastline. 3) Phuket and Koh Phi Phi to Koh Lanta Ferry
A daily ferry runs from Rassada Pier on Phuket to Koh Lanta via Koh Phi Phi during November to April. The ferry departs at around 8.30 am from Phuket and stops in Phi Phi for an hour before continuing to Koh Lanta and arriving around 12.30.
4) By Seaplane From Krabi Or Phuket to Koh Lanta

Combine the peace of sailing with the excitement of scuba diving on our 2 day scuba diving sail liveaboard. We pick you up from your hotel at 8 am and then set sail for the beautiful island of Koh Haa. There we enjoy two dives with lunch served in between. We enjoy the rest of the afternoon and the awesome Thai sunset from the comfort of the yacht, and then do a night dive before enjoying dinner and sleeping on the yacht.
The next day we do an early morning dive when no other boats are around at the dive sites. After breakfast and a rest we do a final lunchtime dive before heading to shore, arriving back at Koh Lanta around 4pm.

Set sail in the late afternoon along the west coast of Koh Lanta to see one of Thailand’s amazing sunsets from the peace of Lanta Sailing’s own yacht. Water and soft drinks are provided and other beverages are available. We pick you up from your hotel at 3pm and drop you back off again after you’ve enjoyed the sunset.

Enjoy a full day on board Lanta Sailing’s yacht exploring the beautiful islands around Koh Lanta. Get to Koh Lanta’s best dive sites super fast with Lanta Scuba’s speedboat. Our 10 metre speedboat gets divers to Koh Lanta’s dive sites within 30 to 45 minutes. The Lanta Scuba speedboat typically leaves around 8.30 am, ensuring it’s one of the first boats to arrive at the dive sites.

The Dive Sites:
You will be able to enjoy two dives at the day’s dive site (Koh Haa, Koh Bida Nok, King Cruiser Wreck, Hin Daeng/Hin Muang), with lunch and cold drinks served in between. We have a minimum of a one hour surface intervals between dives to let you enjoy your lunch and ensure safety.
The Equipment:
